Some organizations only give you one or two ways to make a donation, but Southern Search & Rescue, Inc. is proud to offer a lot of different ways to make a donation. We have listed the basic donation form below and when you click on it, you will be shown a list of options that we have for that type of donation. Though we most need donations of cash and money, other forms of donations will be accept and used accoridng to our policy. Boat Clothing Food Household Items Office Equipment Misc. Item Financial donations is the biggest need that we have. Any organization will tell you that this is more important that anything else. Why? Because it is easier to move money into and out of a disaster area than it is anything else. Generally, it's easier to purchase items needed closer to the disaster zone. This helps shorten the distance that it must be moved and help to bring funds into the economy that may be struggling to recover from the disaster. You have several choices to make a cash or financial donation, just click on the links below to learn more.
100% of all funds raised are used by this organization to fulfill its operations. 90% to 95% of all funds go directly into the response program. We know that there are individuals and businesses out there that have equipment that over time they no longer needed. In most cases, we may be able to utilize these items into our disaster relief efforts. Other times we may not be able to use them at all, but can still take them as a donation. If you have some equipment that we can or feel that we can use, please feel free to contact us. We will work with you to determine whether we will be able to utilize the equipment or if another option is available. Once we have determined what we can do, we will let you know. In recent years the donation of vehicles has become very popular. For our organization, that is no expection, but instead of only one option for donating a vehicle, we over two. |
